Veggie names Nov 9th, 2011
This activity is very similar to the fruit names.
Just gather whatever you have resembling veggies the real once too J
Start learning about the tomatoes what is used for, how does it taste like, what is made out to tomatoes (pizza sauce).
First learn about the veggies you use in everyday life than you can expand your knowledge, observations & vocabulary.
Just remember don’t overload your child with too much of information.
Enjoy yummy vaggies,
Magda
PS. Thank you so much for reading the blog. Please consider leaving a comment :) Thank you.
Let’s make breakfast/lunch/dinner. Nov 9th, 2011
This is a brilliant activity I love it. Let your child help you prepare breakfast.
I always let Mikolay make me coffee if he wants to. Of course I don’t let him near the boiling hot water but he gets cup out, spoon & instant coffee.
How to use a map? Nov 9th, 2011
How to use a map?
This is so, so important. I can’t stress enough what a vital skill this is.
I know that you may think now: ‘We’re not going to need that with all the GPS & iPhones & smartphones with satellite navigation systems.’
Well, just imagine you are in a place where there is no cell reception (yes, there are places like that on this planet), your battery is dead, you lost your device, etc. Once again, reading maps is an essential skill. And, after all, all these apps on the smartphones are maps.
